Persian limon

The Persian lemon, also known as Tahiti lime, Persian lime, Messina lemon, seedless lemon or Bearss lime, is a fruit that in many markets such as the United States is sold simply with the name of lime.

It is older, with a thicker skin and less aromatic than the acid lime (Citrus × aurantifolia), which is the most cultivated lime in the world. The advantages of this lime with respect to the acidic one is that it is larger, has no seeds, greater resistance to diseases, absence of thorns on trees, and longer duration of the fruit once harvested.
